PHP programmer vacancies

£20k - 25k. Big Room Internet are looking to recruit PHP programmers to join this growing website development company.

We have two complementary positions to fill.

Our immediate requirement is for a front end specialist. The second vacancy is for a pure PHP programmer.

Overview:

Big Room Internet is a long established web design company employing 10 staff.

It has a heritage in delivering information rich, content management based websites with the company's core skill in web development of PHP/MySQL based websites.

We're looking for a talented PHP developer to be responsible for developing and maintaining our portfolio of client websites.

The successful candidate will work closely with our technical director and account managers to deliver robust and innovative projects. This is a great opportunity for a developer looking to make their own mark.

Candidates must have the following credentials:

  • To confident in their own developer skills.
  • To think commercially.
  • To be enthusiastic about the internet and understand the components that make up a successful website.
  • To be proactive in proposing new ideas within their work.
  • Be able to develop and deliver within strict time budgets.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years commercial experience.

Experience required:

  • Strong HTML
  • Strong CSS
  • Strong Ajax
  • Expert knowledge of W3C web standards
  • Good JavaScript
  • Good PHP5

    Preferred:
  • SQL
  • Understanding of W3C WAG
  • Understanding of version control systems

Salary:

£20k - 25k depending on experience.

Location:

Big Room Internet are presently based in Gloucestershire but expansion means we are keen to hear from candidates from the Birmingham area - there is a possibility of working from a new satellite office in Birmingham city centre. Some travel between the two offices will be necessary.
